Device ordering prototype

Merchants ordering Victa devices from Odin, launching in three phases. Each phase builds on the one before it. Phases 1 and 2 are built and can be walked through; Phase 3 is specified but not built yet.

A dark settings bar sits above the Odin chrome in the prototype. It is scaffolding, not part of the product: use it to switch phase, to order as a merchant or as internal ops, and to set the merchant type.

Phase 1

Ordering form

Built
  • Device catalogue and detail pages for the Victa Portable and Victa Mobile
  • A quantity per device, held in a cart and editable at checkout
  • Shipping address defaulting to the business address on file, with an edit step
  • Submit, which emails the internal operations team โ€” no payment step, and a 100% BETA discount brings the total to zero
  • A confirmation screen, an orders list and an order summary, with the status moving to In transit once operations has fulfilled the order
Phase 2

Payment added

Built
  • Everything in Phase 1, with the 100% beta discount replaced by a real total โ€” subtotal, shipping and tax
  • A payment section on checkout: pay by card, or have the full amount deducted from next month's payout
  • The order is placed only once payment completes
  • Government entities skip payment entirely โ€” the order goes to the sales rep, who sends a purchase order and invoice outside Odin
  • Failed payment is still an open question in the spec, so the simulated payment always succeeds
Phase 3

Payment plans added

Not built yet
  • Everything in Phase 2, with the payment step extended
  • Pay in full by card today, or schedule monthly deductions from payouts
  • Scheduled deductions add an administration processing fee to the totals, then confirm the payment schedule

The phases come from user-flows/flow.md, which also lists the open questions still to settle. Phase 1 is built as five screens rather than that document's single form, following the supplied mockups. Phase 2 adds payment to those same screens rather than a separate review screen, and its shipping and tax figures are placeholders, not a tax calculation.
